We reach Mirgorod. There are some younger and older girls and women living in our quarters. One of the girls is quite pushy. At one point she snatches my bunch of keys and makes them disappear into her neckline. I am annoyed, reach in callously and take it out again. She must have hoped for more and smiles sourly. Sometimes she is more harmless. Then she sings a song that ends with "krasnaja army" (Red Army), smiling mischievously at a Landser. He then pounces on her with feigned indignation and starts a joking wrestling match with her, which she probably wanted to provoke. There is a bakery for the civilian population near us. I go there and ask for a loaf of bread, which is certainly not allowed. The baker gives it to me without a word.
