- ↑ In the card index of the Army Personnel Office (HPA, NARA T-78 Roll 950) the author has so far found two officers of G.R. 477 named Baumann, but the dates of death do not match: Richard + 17.02.1944, Alfred + 23.03.1944. There is no room for these dates in the timeline reconstructed by the author. From 01-13.02.1944 no officers of the 257th I.D. were killed (KTB 6.A., NARA T-312 Roll 1492 Frame 001130). A Lt.d.R. Baumann was already on 20 May 41 platoon leader in the 2./I.R.477.
